I chose the diabetes association as my son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age 9. Because of funding he was able to attend Camp Huronda which allowed him to see that he was not alone and was able to continue doing everything he always did.

My son is now 31 and lives a normal life.   Thanks to new technology and insulin pump it has made it much easier for him .
